Haway to the Danger Zone

Every little piece of research into this run we've set-out to do uncovers another facet to the scintillating diamond that embodies just why this run might be a bad idea. As PhD students we have grown to want to cultivate and nurture our bad ideas for the sake of 'progress', and in this respect the run is no different. Of the many things we need to take into consideration, for example; adequate clothing, carefully planned route and pace; fitness; back-up; hydration; accommodation; none can be more important than the need for a cool image (oh yes, we'll need stash) and indeed, like any feat of self-inflicted pain, our very own soundtrack. And this is my question: if this run were made into a huge Hollywood blockbuster who would be on the OST? As the title of this post suggests, I think the Tyneside remix of that Top Gun classic would go down quite well, as would 'Running with the Devil' off Van Halen's first album. If we were running from west to east I think 'Fly me to the Toon' would be apt (sorry). Any more suggestions are more than welcome...

I know you're supposed to be running; but "I would walk 500 miles" by the Proclaimers must be on there.
